Dr. Eric Liou

Dr. Eric Liou is an associate professor in the Department of Craniofacial Orthodontics, and Graduate Institute of Craniofacial Medicine of Chang Gung University, Taipei, Taiwan. For the profession affiliations, He, currently, is the IPP of Asian Pacific Orthodontic Society, Editor in Chief of APOS Trends in Orthodontics, and ECM of WFO. His main academic researches and presentations are mostly on TADs, Class III orthognathic camouflage treatment, treatment of occlusal cant and facial asymmetry with yin-yang arch wires, maxillary orthopedic protraction, surgery first orthognathic approach.

Dr. Ute Schneider-Moser

Faculty - University of Pennsylvania

Dr. Ute Schneider-Moser completed her DDS from the University of Mainz, Germany in 1985 and started a private practice in Bolzano, Italy together with Dr. Lorenz Moser in 1987. She has been an active Member of the Italian Orthodontic Society SIDO since 1990, Diplomate of the Italian Board of Orthodontists (IBO) since 1999 and completed a Specialty in Orthodontics from the University of Ferrara, Italy in 2010. Dr. Schneider-Moser was awarded the Brainerd F. Swain Award of Excellence, EHASO in 2010. She has been an active Member of the EHASO (Angle East) and a Visiting professor at the Dep. of Orthodontics, University of Ferrara, Italy since 2011. Dr. Schneider-Moser was elected President of the Italian Academy of Orthodontists (AIdOr) in 2012, and served as President, Angle East (EHASO) from 2019-2021. She has been working as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Dep. of Orthodontics, University of Pennsylvania, USA since 2021. Dr. Ute Schneider-Moser was awarded the Harvey Peck Award of Excellence, Angle East in 2023, is a Member of the Editorial Board of Seminars in Orthodontics since 2023, and is the President Elect, SIDO 2024. She has several publications in peer-reviewed journals and chapters in orthodontic textbooks and is a reviewer for journals such as AJODO, Angle Orthodontist, JERD and JOMS.

Dr. Mauro Farella

Faculty - University of Otago

Dr. Mauro Farella is the Professor and Chair of Orthodontics, Head of the Postgraduate Programme in Orthodontics (Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry), and Director of the Research Programme “Craniofacial Research”, at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Otago, New Zealand. He is the Associate Editor of the Journal “Orthodontics and Craniofacial Research”, of the “Korean Journal of Orthodontics”, and member of the Editorial Board of the "Journal of Oral Rehabilitation”. Dr. Aarella has lectured in 22 different countries and is the recipient of several national and international research prizes, such as the Alan Docking Award from the International Association for Dental Research, and the Sir John Walsh Award, and the Research Supervisor of the Year (2021) Award, to acknowledge the excellence achieved in dental research and postgraduate supervision.

Dr. Narayan Gandedkar

Dr. Narayan Gandedkar completed his MDS in Orthodontics from SDM Dental College, Dharwad in 2008 with a gold medal from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and pursued a Fellowship in Craniofacial Orthodontics from Chang Gung Memorial University and Hospital, Taiwan. He was Assistant Professor at SDM College of Dental Sciences, Dharwad in 2008 and also worked at the Cleft and Craniofacial Centre, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore. Further, he did ‘Clinician Attachment Program’ from School of Biological Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Dr Gandedkar also served as ‘Honorary Secretary’ for the Cleft Lip and Palate Association of Singapore (CLAPAS) from 2017-2019. In addition, he was the 'Principal Investigator' of SingHealth Foundation (SHF), Singapore, funded research. He has published over fifty international papers/book chapters. He is a ‘Reviewer’ of over fourteen international journals. Dr. Gandedkar is a senior lecturer in the Discipline of Orthodontics and Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Sydney/ School of Dentistry.

Adith Venugopal

Faculty - University of Otago

Adith Venugopal is a specialist orthodontist currently working as a Senior Lecturer, Orthodontics in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Otago, New Zealand. He is also an adjunct associate professor and clinical instructor of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics at the University of Puthisastra, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Dr Adith Venugopal was previously in a private practice at Pachem Dental Hospital, Phnom Penh, where he practiced exclusive labial, lingual, and aligner therapy. He has completed his Ph.D. in Orthodontics from Kyungpook National University, South Korea, under the eminent Prof. Hee-Moon Kyung. He has completed his clinical M.S. with an Outstanding Graduate Student Award in Orthodontics from the University of the East (2014), Manila. He earned a bachelor’s degree in dentistry (B.D.S.) (Honours) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, India. Dr. Venugopal has published several scientific studies and clinical reports in international peerreviewed scientific journals and has been an invited keynote speaker at many orthodontic congresses. He has held courses and workshops on TAD-based biomechanics all around the globe to reach high standards in clinical, research, and teaching skills. He is an associate editor for the Seminars in Orthodontics, a contributing editor for the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, a co-editor for the Kieferorthopadie, and an assistant editor for the APOS trends in Orthodontics. He is currently the youngest fellow of two prestigious institutions, namely the International College of Dentists & the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He is also a fellow and member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Glasgow, and Edinburgh. His current clinical interests are in Class III treatments, gummy smiles, intrusion biomechanics, iatrogenics, and orthodontic retreatment.

Dr. Nandakumar Janakiraman

Faculty - Georgia School of Orthodontics

Dr. Nandakumar Janakiraman obtained his undergraduate degree from Government Dental College, Bangalore in 1998 and a master’s degree in Orthodontics from Government Dental College, NTR University of Health in 2002. He has obtained his master’s degree (M.Dent.Sc) and certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Connecticut where he served as a full time faculty member until May 2016, following which he worked at the University of Louiseville as an Assistant Professor and Research Director. Dr. Janakiraman is currently serving as an Associate Professor at the Georgia School of Orthodontics.


Dr Simon Littlewood

Senior Clinical Lecturer at University of Leeds, UK

Dr Simon Littlewood has been working as a specialist in Orthodontics since 2001 in Bradford, and is Senior Clinical Lecturer at University of Leeds, UK. He is currently Honorary Secretary of the British Orthodontic Society, Chair of examiners for Membership of Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons of England, and co-Course Director of the Yorkshire Orthodontic Therapy Course. He is co-author of the 5th edition of the best-selling textbook “An Introduction to Orthodontics” as well as writing many peer-reviewed articles and appearing in educational videos. As an entertaining and highly sought-after speaker, he is invited to lecture to orthodontic audiences in over 35 countries, particularly on the topic of orthodontic retention, and is well known for translating high quality research into clinically relevant and practical information for clinical audiences.
